Sensory Modulation: Using a Sensory Lens with Clients
Sensory modulation is the use of specific and tailored sensory input to change the way a person feels, helping them to feel:
More safe and secure
Less anxious and more calm
Less overwhelmed and more grounded
More able to connect with others
More able to engage in meaningful activities and routines
This three part pre-recorded webinar series and powerpoint presentation focuses on sensory modulation and its application with regard to a range of support and living environments. This includes inpatient mental health units, high dependency units, residential, rehabilitation and respite facilities as well as various accommodations including independent, shared and supported housing.
